Local Area
The South Devon coast is blessed with some of the finest beaches in the country, many awarded Blue Flag status, and Waterside is ideally situated as a base from which to explore this wonderful region.
Within a mile north of the Park is Goodrington Sands, where you will find Quay West Water Park, Go-Karts and Youngs Park with its boating lake, all alongside the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway, which winds along the coast, past Waterside, to Kingswear on the River Dart.
Head south and again within a mile is Broadsands beach and country park.
Just inland on the way to Torquay you will find Cockington Village, picture postcard beauty that remains unchanged and unspoilt. There cannot be many finer places to enjoy a cream tea!
Brixham, Totnes, Dartmoor and many visitor attractions are all within easy reach. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are not much more than an hour away.
Immediately outside the Park are various restaurants and take-aways to suit just about every taste, so no need to feel chained to the kitchen - relax and enjoy yourself, you're on holiday!
